HDD Engineering
HDD crossing engineering defines the bore geometry —entry and exit angles, bend radii and depth of cover— and verifies that the product pipe withstands combined installation and operating stresses, that the estimated pullback force is within the rig's capacity, and that annular fluid pressure does not exceed the formation's resistance.
JCR Specialized HDD Services delivers this engineering through the pre-feasibility, feasibility and basic engineering stages, for steel and HDPE pipe.
When is it needed?
- Confirming whether a crossing is feasible by HDD before tendering or contracting.
- Projects involving river crossings, shore / beach approaches or large-diameter, long-length pipelines.
- Technical review of existing engineering before execution.
